Finally, the two books I asked my friend to help me order from Japan are now in my hands : Volume 1 of Otoboku 2 (manga) and MiX! (light novel), so I'll be using the script from the original version to translate Otoboku 2, as planned. Hopefully it will not take a lot of time.

It seems this game has more fanservice than I thought it would. I have mixed feeling about this. Maybe I won't be able to enjoy it as much as I did with Dive 1 and 2.

I forgot to put this on the blog since I was busy playing Pangya. Well, it seems they decided to use the same battle system as in Baldr Force Re-Action, which is a big no-no to me. Well, at least I hope they'll do something about it, since Baldr Force Re-Action sucked balls when it comes to battle system. It's freaking annoying when I have to use mouse for combating.

Finally, the game has been released. Someone has posted a torrent on tokyotosho. Be sure to apply the additional patch after installation.

Otome Yuugi Suikoden - Card game and artbook

Otoboku 2's update (25/6)

An additional patch for Otoboku 2 has been announced. According to the article, all save data created before the patch is applied will be unable to use. Of course, this applies to save data from trial version as well, since the choices have been changed in the full version. Therefore, one must apply the patch and play from the beginning, but text skipping is possible by holding the Ctrl key, like with other visual novels.

Otoboku 2's update (21/6)

There will be an event on 30/6 : the character popularity contest. The present of the lottery, a voice pack of Chihaya, will be restricted to 100 lucky purchasers. Perhaps someone may upload it when the game is released. You can find out more details here.

Baldr Sky Dive X new update

Well, only 1 pic, but I think it's more than enough. Thanks Exra for telling me this.

And here we got Muramasa in Dive X. This is gonna be promising.


Edit : There's also a new heroine in this new game, named Chikujou Chris. The game will be released on September 29th. Thanks Yukira for sending me the shot.

Not much to mention. There's a piece of info about the special privilege card pack and another introductory card pack (including a school card (Chihaya ver)). They also posted a rather funny pic at the front page.

Otome Emaki & Otome Yuugi : Suikoden

This is probably the biggest surprise today for me. I was browsing a Chinese site, and suddenly I saw this thing. The artwork got me, and after a while reading the info, I can surely say that we're going to have a moe version of the Water Margin, a classic Chinese literature (called Suikoden in Japanese).

It appears that the artbook will be on sale on June 25th, and the trading card game will be released in July. Btw, the girl with big boobs at the cover is Song Jiang.

Otoboku 2 manga

I've just checked some Chinese scans, and I think the manga is not bad. The art is no matched for the game's, but it doesn't look bad either. I'll try to hunt the raw to scanlate it soon.


There were also some interesting things I found while reading the visual novel. Chihaya turned out to be the younger brother of Mariya in Otoboku 1, and he had a twin sister, named Chitose (deceased when they were children).

The secret of Chihaya's boobs has been revealed. The fake boobs are breast pads with the color exactly as human's skin. I assume this is also what Mariya did with Mizuho.

Impression on Otoboku 2 trial version

Well, I just finished downloading the game yesterday, and I spent about 2 hours reading one part of it today. Everything looks nice to me. Music, art, voice acting are all good. Here's a little summary of the plot :

Mikado Chihaya, the protagonist, has excellent grades at school (always at the top of his class), but remains lonely due to his girlish appearance. Since he was a kid, boys have always been staying away from him, saying things like "you piss me off, so get outta my sight", or "you looks as weak as a girl". His mother, seeing her son leading a pitiful life, made a ZOMG clever decision : transfer him to Seiou Girl Academy. At first he opposed, but finally had to agreed because he will be disinherited if he doesn't do as his mom says. At the dorm of his new school, he met Kaoruko, who helped him once on the street, again, along with other people in the dorm, like Hatsune the Student Council President, and Kaori.

Similar to Mizuho, Chihaya changed his family name to his mother's, thus he became Kisakinomiya Chihaya.

Otoboku 2 update (26/4)

Finally, the trial version of the game has been released. Here's the list of mirrors.

Regarding the Vocal Mini Album, I listened to it yesterday, and it was good as expected, especially Kimi no mama de by Sakakibara Yui. She did a great job again.

One more thing, I forgot to mention that the 3rd page of the webcomic was out 5 days ago. Now we're 100% sure that Awayuki is a tsundere.

Otoboku 2 new updates (14/7)

The 4th teaser has been uploaded to the site. Some samples of illustrations have also been uploaded. It seems that they will sell them in the June 6th event, in which the manuscript of the manga will be available too. Judging on the image, Chihaya's boobs are the things to be questioned.

Edit : Watched the teaser, and I have a bad feeling. It seems the voice actress for Chihaya is a new one, and her voice doesn't fit his appearance well imo.

Also, new CGs have been posted on C-B's site. What surprised me the most was Chihaya in school swimsuit, while Mizuho couldn't do this. I was like "holy shit" when I saw that. This is gonna be interesting.

Baldr Sky Dive X announced

Sorry for the late. I should have posted this sooner when Yukira sent me some camera shots of it.


The game was announced on the June issue of TECHGIAN (April 21st). Here are some shots :

Currently, there's not much information about it yet. We just know that it will be released in summer 2010, and the game will feature an extra story called "Dream Story", some survival games called "Baldr Sky ES", "Ultimate Survival", "Baldr Hell", "Baldr Arena", and a "Room of Aki", where you will purchase things to upgrade your stats.

Otoboku 2 - New updates (26/3)

Here's a piece of good news. Chapter 1 of the webcomic has been released. The art looks the same as in the teaser, so I guess it was drawn by the same illustrator. For now, it's clear to say that Fumi is a yandere. Also, the 2nd teaser movie has been uploaded along with the webcomic. You can download it here.

Today I visited Caramel Box's site again, and found out that they had updated their info on this game for more than a week.

This time the theme song will be sung by Yuria, and the insert song will be done by Sakakibara Yui again. You can download some stuff here.

The art looks better than Otoboku 1's, which is a big plus to a trap lover like me, and there's a high chance that's the story will be fun. I'm looking forward to the school festival and PE class events. Moreover, it's most likely that this game will be designed for wide screen LCDs, not old 4:3 monitors, which is another good point to me.

Mayochiki Vol 1 Chapter 1 - Part 1 (Full)

Well, this is my first time translating a light novel, and it's still at the experimental stage, so I decide to post here so that everybody can give their suggestions to edit it easily. Hope I'll get more help with this novel. About the reason, well, I do this in order to fill up the amount of time when I can't do manga because I have to make sure my parents don't find out what I'm doing. On the other hand, they won't be able to figure out if it's a light novel. :p Moreover, the illustration and the summary got me, so I decided to do it. This way I can keep learning Japanese in my own way more freely xD Also, I haven't got enough time to customize my blog, so please bear with it if the colors look ugly.

Baldr Sky Dive 2's videos

Since I now have some free time, I decided to have a look at the DVDs of BS Dive 2, and I have to say that it was even beyond my expectation. Guess what? They gave me around 2.5GB of video! On top of that, the quality of the ending videos is now much better, since we have 800x600 vs 640x480, and they are clearly no upscale shit. There's still banding in the videos, but I can't blame them because MPEG-1 is already an outdated codec to begin with. Finally, the content of the ending videos for Rain, Nanoha and Chinatsu is just the same as the old ones', so I can now have a nice replacement. Cheers :D

Thanks to Yukira, a friend of mine, I finally got to see some scans regarding this upcoming game.

According to the scans, the protagonist this time will be a platinum-haired guy named Kisakinomiya Chihaya (lol, even his name is girly already), and the heroine will be Nanahara Kaoruko (the black-haired one), and she's of the strong will type. It appears that the story will take place after the previous game, with totally different characters. Well, at least let's hope this will be as good as Otoboku 1. Cheers.

To tell the truth, I was very happy when I heard this. Not only that Otoboku was the very first anime that got me into traps, but Mizuho-chan (aka Mizuho-oneesama) is also one of the best traps ever :D Okay, moving on the main topic, according to Caramel Box, the game will most likely be released in this year. If I'm not wrong, there will be a new protagonist in this game. Let's wait and see what this game will be. Cheers :D
